Earth Mama, Angel Baby

While on the quest for the perfect pregnancy-friendly beauty products, I just had to include an organic line in the mix. After all, this is the time to be concerned about what's going on, as well as in, your body! I found Earth Mama, Angel Baby when I was writing a previous story on baby products, and this time got to test a selection of their products for myself.

First of all, Earth Mama, Angel Baby uses the highest quality oils and QAI certified organic herbs. Their products are cruelty-free, certified vegan, kosher, and 100% toxin-free - that means no phthalates, parabens, SLS, artificial preservatives, fragrances or dyes

Secondly, many products out there for pregnancy are really just amped-up spa products. Creams, oils, lotions, scrubs, soaks, etc... but Earth Mama, Angel Baby creates products that address some very specific, if not glamorous, aspects of pregnancy. Case in point: Morning Wellness Tea to helps quell morning sickness, Heartburn Tea for when even a glass of orange juice seems like torture, and Bottom Balm and Bottom Spray (which are not for baby's bottom, if you know what they mean). They also have some products to help ease the unimaginable pain of miscarriage or stillbirth in their Healing Hearts section.

So, what goodies did I try?

Of course, the first product I reached for was the Stretch Oil for stretchmark prevention. It has a mild scent, spread nicely and is pure and natural, with plant-based oils that are cold pressed without solvents to insure their purity infused with the healing herbal goodness of organic calendula, and calming chamomile. Borage oil, Vitamin E and neroli pure essential oil help nourish and encourage skin’s natural elasticity. It would be a great massage oil.

I also indulged in the Happy Feet foot soak. It looks like a jar of loose tea, and you put a scoopful in a muslin bag and steep it in your tub (or a small bucket) so the herbs can release their goodness. It contains organic lavender, yarrow, thyme, peppermint, osemary, salts and organic pure essential oils and smells wonderful. Feet emerge refreshed... and fresh smelling!

This is a company that celebrates all women go through when having a baby and have products to help every step of the way, from pregnancy, labor and postpartum, to breastfeeding and babycare. I am looking forward to trying the Angel Baby products on my little one. A great baby shower gift would be the Angel Baby Kit for $49.95 or the Deluxe Angel Baby Bucket for $119.95.

These products look lovely! One of my closest friends has just found she is pregnant after years of trying for a baby, so I think I may have to treat her to the Angel Baby Kit.
Thanks for the tip,
Liz

Hi,

Very nice beauty blog you have here. Found your blog after searching information for makeup reviews. Thanks for the great information!

My name is Irene and I'm involved in an online beauty community website called http://www.ColorMeGorgeous.com. I was hoping that you would have a minute to check out the site and perhaps if you liked what you saw... write about it on your blog?

I may be going out on a limb by asking you for promotional help through your blog, but I hope you find ColorMeGorgeous.com to be as news worthy/helpful as I perceive it to be. There's still a lot of work to be done with it, but I'm working on it. It's hard to compete when you're a small fish in a huge sea with huge sites like MUA and the likes, but I do what I can :) My favorite part of the site is the 'critic's corner' where members can review or read up on various product reviews for makeup and skincare. Then there's always the forum, the photo gallery, the ask a makeup artist page, etc.

Thanks for your time :)

Best,
Irene

Pregnancy is a wonderful thing, and the joy you feel is incomparable to anything. However, there are some parts of pregnancy that most mothers wish they could erase from existence. For one, there is that itchy belly feeling! Then, there are stretch marks and muscle aches. What if I told you that you can erase them from existence? Shea Butter is a must have for mothers to be, and it takes care of each one of these symptoms of pregnancy.

Shea Butter is great for many other things too. Keep some for after the pregnancy and use it to prevent diaper rash! You can also use it as a lip balm, headache reliever when rubbed on the forehead, dry skin healer, shaving cream, and many other things. Shea Butter is a must have for soon to be mothers, and once they have discovered what kind of friend it can be to them, they will likely never give it up!

For more information about Shea Butter, please visit Purely Shea at http://www.purelyshea.com/
