Beauty Podcasts

I am sorry for not posting last week! It's been a busy spring, but stay tuned because I'm planning to post twice a week - a mid-week quickie and a usual, longer-format post on weekends.

But what does one do when you don't have time to read or write blog posts? Listen to them, of course! I have recently discovered a few great beauty podcasts, and they are all in my iPod for those long commutes. Give 'em a listen!

LIPGLOSS & LAPTOPS
Kerry Anne and Airdrie, two moms from Canada, put on a great weekly show. They call Lip Gloss and Laptops "the free weekly health, cosmetics, and beauty podcast for the thinking woman". Usually about an hour, the show covers product reviews, makeup tips and updates on the two friends' lives. They have a casual approach and often giggle at each other, which makes me break out into a smile during my commute. You can subscribe via iTunes or follow these instructions for other subscription methods.

THE BEAUTY NEWSLETTER
The Beauty Newsletter is a blog by celebrity Makeup Artist, Elke Von Freudenberg, and she has a great podcast you can find on iTunes. Elke is a top editorial and celebrity makeup artist in Los Angles and New York. Join her as she shares her makeup tips and tricks, and reviews of beauty products and cosmetics that she gets to use on her photo shoots, and even herself! Elke is perfectly situated to spot emerging trends, so turn to her for advice on being au courant.

ORGANIC BEAUTY RADIO
Andrea Kane is the Organic Beauty Expert! Her blog is "the first and only blog for natural, handmade and organic body care products and services" and her podcast, Organic Beauty Radio, gives you "in-depth interviews with the people behind your favorite beauty products". She gets a tremendous array of guests, from the likes of Juice Beauty, Origins and vonNatur.

HOME SPA GODDESS BEAUTY
The Home Spa Goddess show is about bath and beauty, make up and hair and home spa products. The shows average about 20 minutes and air three times a week (MWF). The latest show is here.

PRODUCT GIRL PODCASTS
Product Girl is a blog and podcast for everyone who loves beauty products. She talks about favorite products, new collections, tips and tricks as well as upcoming collections. Each roughly 30-minute podcast covers topics such as drugstore finds, building a foundation and makeup expiration dates.

METRO MOMENT
As the name suggests, Metro Moment is "a vignette of metrosexual awareness grooming and guidance helping you to be fab, sexy, chic, neat, presentable!" Shows have looked at how you can fake a tan, get rid of lines and have sexy, shiny hair.
